CASE STUDY #3:

PYRAMID HELPS RETAIL BUSINESSES EXPAND..."MOMMY CHIC"

CASE STUDY #0, #1, #2, #3, #4

Problem A:

Up-scale maternity boutique ‘Mommy Chic’ had two store locations in Westport, CT and Boston, MA. Owner, Gina Picon, wanted to open a third store in Greenwich, CT but did not know the in’s and out’s of the town’s real estate market.

Solution:

David Taylor of Pyramid Real Estate Group helped her secure an attractive 815 sq ft location at 38 W. Putnam Ave. Greenwich. David also represented her in negotiating a long-term lease with the landlord.

Outcome:

‘Mommy Chic’ now resides in a highly visible retail locale
in the competitive Greenwich marketplace.

Problem B:

The site required extensive remodeling and construction (plumbing removal, new floor and dressing rooms and bathroom renovations) before the business could open.

Solution:

Based on Gina’s needs and wants, Pyramid Construction drew up a computer rendering of how the store would look after renovation and Gina approved the cost prior to work starting.  Pyramid finished construction of Gina’s new store on time and within budget.

Outcome:

‘Mommy Chic’ got a brand new looking space, opened on time and Gina didn’t have to worry about construction but could focus her attention on all the other details of opening a new store.

Problem C:

‘Mommy Chic’ owner needed help finding reputable and effective vendors to assist her business start-up.

Solution:

David Taylor connected her with all the necessary vendors for legal representation, insurance coverage, credit card processing and publicity.

Outcome:

Gina secured solid legal representation in regards to her new lease and a great comprehensive commercial insurance package, with both liability and business property coverage. She also obtained the latest in credit card machinery with reduced processing fees and was featured in The Stamford Advocate and Greenwich Times articles just in time for her store opening in Fall 2007.
